To be reimbursed for massage done at events, applicants must:

• Be a graduate of a massage school with a minimum of 500 hours training and be Colorado State Registered,
• Meet the educational requirement of a minimum of 28 hours of sports massage training
• Carry liability insurance through AMTA, ABMP or other insurance carrier
• Pay the initial registration fee of $40 to cover team polo shirt, nametag, accounting and registration expenses, equipment and supply costs, and Team Manual. Renewal dues are currently $25 per year after the first year.
• Attend the mandatory Skills Calibration course provided by the Team.  This must be updated every 2 years to keep up with changing techniques and to offer continuity in standards of practice.

The AMTA CO Chapter Event Sports Massage Team Director is looking for more therapists to work Day 1 of The Great-West MS 150 bike event on Saturday, June 25, in Fort Collins. Therapists make close to $300 that day and that is including tips and donating to the charity and the chapter. It costs $50 to join as a new member of the team and $35 as a renewing-member. You will arrive at 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. to help put up the tents and set up. You will work from about 10:30 a.m. - 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. and then help take down the tents.
