Jonathan Bergstrom, NCTMB
President, Mountain Stream Massage Therapy

Jonathan currently serves as the President of AMTA Colorado and has been a member of the Chapter's Board of Directors since 2001. During his tenure as the Government Relations Chair in 2002, Jonathan actively built consensus within the massage therapy community to approach and lobby the Colorado legislature for state licensure.

As a graduate from the National Holistic Institute in San Francisco, California with a 500-hours massage therapist certificate, his profession has taken him to 16 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

Within the AMTA educational network, he has have learned from dozens of nationally and internationally acclaimed educators. Thanks to both his professional association with AMTA and during more than 20 years of practice, he has doubled the number of training hours. During that time, he has enhanced his knowledge of the healing arts with the best in the business.

For the past 30 years, Jonathan has lived Breckenridge, Colorado and he has watched this small ski town grow to one of Colorado's top ski resorts.

As president of Mountain Stream Massage Therapy, his practice specializes in sports massage, rehabilitation and self-healing. With his wife, Stephanie, they are the proud owners and operators of Cool River Coffee House on the river walk in Breckenridge.

Even though he has retired after 24 years as a professional skier, he enjoys the Rocky Mountains more than ever, especially in developing his skill as a hard-core hot springs hot tub enthusiast!

As an award-winning massage therapist, he states the best rewards have been in the friends he has made in this profession.
