They confirm the eligibility of the nominees and provide a rooster of candidates for our election. General duties and responsibilities for BoD: A candidate for any of the Board of Director positions must be a professional-level member and possess a desire to work for the good of the membership, the profession, and the community. Position Requirements (Abbreviated)1) All positions require that the candidate must be a professional member in good standing, and agree to sign the Chapter Volunteer Code of Conduct. 2) Duties and responsibilities include the board member will serve as a voting member of the Chapter Board of Directors; 3) Attend all Chapter meetings and Chapter Board meetings as scheduled. The Chapter Board meets three times per year for face-to face meetings, and conducts three teleconferences per year. The Board also conducts business in between meetings via e-mail; Additional requirements Eligibility - must meet one or more of the following requirements: 1. Completed one term year as a Chapter Board member within the last three years. 2. Completed one term year as a Chapter committee chair or member within the last two years. 3. Completed one term year as a National Standing Committee Chair or National Board Member within the last two years. Term of Office – 2 years each position. Time Commitment – may vary and be higher before and/ or during National or Chapter events or activities. Commitment includes chairing and serving committees related to elected positions. 1st VP/Public Relations: 5-8 hr/week 3rd VP/Govt. Relations: 5-8 hr/week Treasurer: 5-8 hr/week Communication ?1) Provide reports and updates for meetings, newsletters and website. 2) Be available to AMTA-CO members and respond to their questions, concerns, and inquires. ? 3) Develop and submit budget and annual plan for committees associated with position. ? 4) Fulfill fiduciary, due diligence, and other responsibilities of Chapter board of directors as described in the bylaws. 5) Operate within the bylaws, policies, programs, and strategic plan of AMTA National and Chapter standing rules.
